LISTEL

The Listel brand is a one-off: vines that grow in the sand, staggeringly varied fauna and flora, a hundred year-old history, a wine with unique colour and qualities, an original unusual bottle and the best-known rosé brand.

Terroir

The soils in the vineyards are composed of sand carried in from the Alps by the Rhône river, the wind and Mediterranean tides. It's the sand on our Languedoc beaches, hand-tilled by us creating a unique environment for our vines.

Vineyards

Vineyards

The 1800 hectares of vines on the 'Sable de Camargue' Protected Geographical Indication area is Europe's largest vineyard. This dimension makes us autonomous in our wine production and in all phases of production in order to guarantee constant quality and wine identity for our customers while ensuring absolute foodstuff security.

Expertise

Expertise

“It's the men and women at Listel who have, for as long as we've been around, shaped our landscape, worked our land, created our wines and produced our bottles. They are our company's memory and the ones who've brought us success, past and future...”

The wine

The wine

It's our natural terrain, choice of grape varieties (especially Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah…) and our winemakers' special winemaking techniques, which give Listel's 'Sable de Camargue' rosé its very special greyish colour, aromatic range and refreshing taste.

Tradition

There are some 60 Camargue horses on the Listel ranch. They are direct descendants of the horses trained by knights for the Saint Louis crusades.

History

We can trace back vines being on 'Stel Island' to the early 15th century. In 1883, the 'Salins du Midi' salt company, which owned vast stretches of sandy land in the Camargue, decided to expand this vineyard, which enables us today to produce Listel's 'Sable de Camargue' for your enjoyment.

Market

Listel is the best-known rosé brand and also the biggest seller in France… and worldwide. It is part of our country's wine heritage and one of its biggest success stories.

Camargue

The Camargue is a wild, natural and unique landscape with deep-rooted friendly culture, shaped by the Rhône and the Mediterranean; many different characteristics that give Listel's 'Sable de Camargue' rosé wine its identity.
